They say that to be happy we need a careers they tell us that in order to feel happy and fulfilled we need to have money driven goals and we need to keep constantly striving for more.
They tell us that being independent and travel, and have the dream house, wear office outfits and drive the right car are the end goal.
All of these things are good and it’s great to strive for, but the reality is that they most likely wont make us happy.
We’re humans, we are happy when we are connecting, when we are building people and not only things. We strive with hugs and reassurance and love. We are people and we should want to be around and make more “little people”.
And if you can’t have your own little people, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t strive for connecting and building meaningful relationships and caring for others.
It took me 6 years to have a child, and I don’t want to make a statement that everyone should have kids but if you can, I’d like to let you know that you should have them! They are the best way of realising that life is so much more than anything the society is trying to tell us. They are worth it, and they are precious, there is nothing more beautiful than giving and receiving love from a child.
I promise you that ❤️
